So touching it made me cry. I am very "emontion". This proves you should write fiction more often. By the way, my co-worker that sits next to me is highly uncomfortable, not knowing what to do or how to act.

You know how to choke a girl up. My grandmother as Alzheimer's as well and I recognized that when she kept getting confused and forgetting things. Rusty was her only stable thing in life. You really touched your readers with this story. Great job!!

Your story has the ability to make a reader unable to leave it halfway. Well paced, wonderfully told, and thought provoking. Good work!

Thank you so much for the kind words, I truly appreciate it. Even the kind words from the heavily biased commenter who happens to be my wife ;)

Beautiful tribute. Thank you for sharing, helping others to feel, and understand. My father-in-law, for whom I am care-giver suffers from Alzheimers and Parkinsons Disease. I can truly relate to the memory lapses and flashbacks. But as in your story,..there is peace and comfort for the affected in pleasant memories and moments of love.
    Thank you so much.
